Unlocking Transact Data with Temenos Operational Data Store (ODS) APIs

Did you know there is a set of APIs that can be extremely useful when implementing services and products for your customers?

Temenos provides an Operational Data Store (ODS) to retrieve data from the Transact environment and expose it as services through an IRIS Runtime. The ODS is typically provided as part of the Data Lake solution, which separates read operations from the Transact core.

Six types of APIs can help us retrieve information through services:

1) Reference APIs

These APIs are associated with system reference information domains, such as Sector, Language, Industry, and Country Codes.

Example:

getLanguageList

ODS API Name	Summary	TABLE	PRODUCT	URL
EB.API.ODS.LANGUAGE.LIST.1.0.0	Retrieves language list details such as language ID, description, etc.	LANGUAGE	EB	/reference/languages/

2) Order APIs

These APIs are associated with payment-related functionalities, such as Fund Transfer Details, Transaction Stop, Payment Order, and others.

Example:

getPendingPayments

ODS API Name	Summary	TABLE	PRODUCT	URL
PP.API.ODS.PAYMENT.PENDING.PROCESS.1.0.0	Retrieves overall transaction information.	POR.TRANSACTION	PP	/order/payments/pendingOrders

3) Party APIs

These APIs are associated with the customer information domain, including Customer Details, External User Details, and US Model Bank.

Example:

getCustomerDetails 

ODS API Name	Summary	TABLE	PRODUCT	URL
CUSTOMER.LIST.ODS	Retrieves the customer profile.	CUSTOMER	ST	/party/customers/profiles

4) Product APIs

These APIs are associated with the product information domain, such as Product Interest Catalog, Product Interest Conditions, Product Details, and others.

AA.API.ODS.PRODUCT.LINES.1.0.0	Retrieves product line information such as product line ID and description.	AA.PRODUCT.LINE	AA	/product/productLines

5) Holding APIs

These APIs cover information related to Arrangement Details, Guarantees, Nostro/Vostro Account Lists, among others.

Example:

NOSTRO.ACS.ODS	Retrieves the list of Nostro accounts.	ACCOUNT	AC	/holdings/accounts/nostro/

6) System APIs

These APIs are associated with the Service Automation domain.

Example:

getAllReportTimeCOB

EB.API.ODS.REPORT.TIMES.2.0.2	Retrieves the list of elapsed times for reports generated during Close of Business processing.	REPORT.TIMES	EB	/system/reports/{batchDate}/elapsedTimeservices/reportTimes
